Roger H. Berk

With over 15 years in the oil, refined fuel, and commodity trading industry, Roger H. Berk is the CEO and Senior Trader at The Commodity Traders B.V. (TCT), a private trading company he co-founded in Rotterdam, Netherlands. A graduate of The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Roger has built a distinguished career marked by his strategic acumen and global trade expertise.

In 2018, Roger joined the Board of Steencore BV, a prominent metals trading company specializing in copper, tin, cobalt, and other metals. In this advisory role, he provides critical guidance on strategic decisions, banking, and funding strategies, leveraging his extensive industry insight to support Steencore’s growth.

Roger’s journey with TCT began in 2009, where he leveraged his government connections to focus on oil-related products for markets in the Middle East and Far East. From 2009 to 2012, he managed a $1.8 billion trading fund, supplying gas, oil, crude, and gasoline to major Middle Eastern clients in Rotterdam. Today, he continues to lead TCT as both CEO and board member.

Beyond commodities, Roger is also the President and founder of ScreenCheck International, a leader in ID card solutions for over 30 years. Since 1990, ScreenCheck has provided solutions in ID card management, smart card technology, and national ID programs, with a global footprint across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. In 2009, ScreenCheck expanded further by acquiring Polaroid’s ID solutions in the U.S., where Roger lived from 2006 to 2011 in Dallas, Texas.
